Tributes have been paid following the death of the well-known Monaghan country music star.
Henry McMahon, a musician, songwriter, band leader, promoter and music manager passed away over the weekend.
He was an integral part of the county music scene for up on six decades from and hailed from Castleblayney and became known to thousands of country music followers as the band leader and announcer with Big Tom and The Mainliners.
Fr Brian Darcy spoke on the Joe Finnegan show this morning about the stars talent and the immensely positive mark he left on Ireland's entertainment industry.
He also was known for writing songs and was the driving force behind so many well known country music artists, allowing them to gain success in the industry.
