The Lynch family have been failed by the cracks in the system.
That's according to an independent pathologist, Dr Fintan Garavan who says the injuries to Kelly's body suggests there were at least one or even more individuals present at the time of her death.
The body of Kelly Lynch was discovered in the Ulster Canal in Monaghan town on St Patrick's Day 2024.
Dr Garavan says it's possible that Kelly was a victim of a violent assault, contradicting official findings that she died by drowning.
The US based pathologist was engaged by The Katie Trust charity.
He said the number and distribution of injuries on Ms Lynch's body were in his view, consistent with a violent assault.
Dr Garavan says he believes the family have been failed and continue to be failed.
