The secretary of Cavan Tidy Towns has praised the efforts of volunteers after picking up their 2023 awards. The local group picked up a silver national award as well as the county award for Cavan. While Gaelscoil Breifne also picked up the best regional school project award.
The ceremony was held in the Knockranny House Hotel in Westport last week. Speaking to Northern Sound, Secretary of the Cavan Tidy Towns Committee, Paul Lynch, says the awards are a testament to the work of the volunteers who give their time up.
