The sister of a man murdered and secretly buried by the IRA almost 50 years ago hopes the search that is underway in Co Monaghan will end her family's nightmare.
Dympna Kerr's brother Columba McVeigh was one of 17 murder victims known as The Disappeared. Four of those listed by the commission that was set up to find them remain missing.
Mrs Kerr and other family members took part today in an event at Bragan bog where a search is underway. The WAVE Trauma Centre held an event at Bragan Bog this afternoon to mark international Day of the Disappeared.
Dympna says while standing in Bragan bog today, it's difficult to think what happened to Columba at that location almost 5 decades now. She says all her family want is to find the teenagers remains and give him a Christian burial and finally let her family have closure.
