Women in Monaghan are being encouraged to consider becoming fire fighters.
Open evenings are taking place at Monaghan town fire station this evening, and Clones tomorrow evening in an effort to recruit retained fire fighters.
The Fire Service says it's keen to get applications from people from all communities so that it can better reflect the community it serves.
