The Youth Work Ireland regional director for Cavan and Monaghan is encouraging everyone to communicate about their mental health.
Caolan Fox was speaking on concerns that younger people are less likely to share "hello" or "how are you" with strangers.
The topic came ahead of How Are You Day, organised by Mental Health Ireland which is taking place tomorrow.
The campaign is encouraging everybody to ask someone how they are, in an effort to get conversations going around mental health.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning noted that the nature of communication has changed dramatically in recent years, but young people are no different to everyone else.
