It is round 2 of the National Endurance Trial championship this weekend with Galway motor club set to host their event. The growing popularity of this discipline of motorsport is evident by it having 6 rounds in the championship this year with the ALMC having hosted the opening round back in January. With the night navigation season having drawn to a close in recent weeks, the endurance trials fill the void for competitors as explained by the Galway clerk of the course Shane Burns when he spoke to Sean Mc Caffrey
