Bailieborough College celebrates Junior Cert results. Students across Cavan and Monaghan received their Junior Cert results today.
Nationally, around 73,000 students received results; marking the third year in a row that the figure has been higher than 70,000.
Teachers unions are also welcoming changes to the grading system for the Junior Cycle.
A change from last year means those who achieve 85 per cent or higher will now be awarded a distinction, while those who score between 70 and 80 per cent will receive a merit mark.
Deputy Principal of Bailieborough Communtiy College, Declan Smith said he was "very happy" with today's results.
He believes today's results reflect the hard work and resilience of students and also the dedication of teachers.
