LISTEN BACK: Beech Hill student shortlisted for 'Pramerica: Spirit of Community' award

Beech Hill College student Jamie Duffy has been shortlisted for the prestigious "Pramerica: Spirit of Community" award.

Jamie is one of 20 students from the island of Ireland who is in the running for the award that rewards post-primary students for their exemplary acts of volunteerism.

Amongst other things, Jamie is very involved with Glaslough Tidy Towns and trains younger people as part of the 'Greener Glaslough' campaign.

Siobhan Sheerin, deputy principal of Beech Hill College, spoke to our reporter Diarmuid Pepper, about the award and about her school's charitable and voluntary initiatives:
