The Convent Lands playground in Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan has reopened following its closure two years ago due to anti- social behaviour.
Local Councillor Colm Carthy said he has received confirmation that the facility is now open and ready for use.
This park will be opened and closed each day (approximately: 9am-6pm in winter months and 9am-9pm in summer months) to ensure minimal anti-social behaviour and disturbances to equipment and residents in the area.

Ronan Gargan has been speaking to Cllr Colm Carthy about this welcome development who says it has certainly been a long time coming to get the playground open for local children in the wider Carrickmacross area.
