Munterconnaght native Jean Tighe who has been missing in Portugal for three years was placed on a missing persons register on Tuesday. It follows calls from her family for the past 12 months to have the County Cavan woman registered so that the investigation into her disappearance can progress.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly called on Cavan County Council to use any power it had to highlight the case to the Gardai and have it addressed in the Oireachtas. Cllr O'Reilly spoke to the Wider View this week. He began by pointing to the length of time it has taken the investigation to get to this stage and what these latest developments mean for Jean's family.
