Event to promote Endometriosis awareness takes place in Monaghan. A public meeting to raise awareness around Endometriosis will take place in Monaghan Town.
The event will take place tonight at 8pm at the Westenra Arms Hotel. Furthermore, the hosts are Sinn Fein's Cathy Bennett, Matty Carthy and Senator Maria McCormack.
Deputy Cathy Bennett highlighted the importance of this public meeting. Especially when it comes to taking information back to Leinster house; to ensure that women living with this condition can access better treatment and care.
Moreover, with one in ten women suffering from Endometriosis, Deputy Bennett believes we need "radical change".
The local TD says the disease has been "overlooked by successive governments". Indeed, it is important to stand up for the women of Ireland.
She believes it's important for people to have their say on this issue. Thus ensuring that changes are made for the betterment of women's health in the future.
