A 25 year memorial fundraiser is being organised to remember five members of one family who died in Monaghan collision.
Catherine Curtis (nee Winters), her 10-year old son Wayne, her 5-year old daughter Shauna, the children's aunt Jamie and their cousin Garry both aged 14 all died in the 2001 collision.
They were killed when the car in which they were passengers in, collided with a milk tanker at Swann's Cross on July 24th, 2001.
Catherine's sister Christina Weldon says that day has never her their memory however this year will be more poignant than ever as they mark 25 years from that tragic day.
She said the family were on their way full of excitement to start their family holiday in Bundoran they were tragically killed in the horrific collision.
As a memorial Christina and her two daughters Abbie and Katie will be taking part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon on Sunday May 31st.
Speaking to Ronan Gargan this afternoon, Christina says it's a day her family will never forget.
