Listen back: Monaghan GAA remembers Nudie Hughes. The chairperson of Monaghan GAA has paid tribute to Eugene 'Nudie' Hughes.
Cremartin man, Declan Flanagan, said that Nudie is a legend in Monaghan and all over Ireland. He recalled the Castleblayney man's star studded career for both his club and county, and noted the impact that he made on footballers all over the country, and not just in Monaghan.
Mr. Flanagan confirmed that there will be a minutes silence to remember Nudie Hughes before the Ulster Club Championship games involving Carrickmacross and Scotstown this weekend.
The chairperson of the county board told Northern Sound that Nudie never changed while battling with illness.
