A protest took place earlier today in Cavan Town against Genocide.
The Dáil voted against legislation this week seeking to impose sanctions against Israel by 77 votes to 62.
The vote on the Sanctions against the State of Israel bill, which was tabled by People Before Profit-Solidarity.
The bill had proposed to prohibit all trade, investment, financial dealings and state-linked economic activity with Israel.
Megan De Siun from the committee that had organised todays protest says she's disappointed by local TD's not backing the vote.
She said a clear message needs to be sent when she spoke with Ronan Gargan earlier.
