Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher has been appointed the Fianna Fáil whip in the Seanad.
He's now in his second term in the Seanad after first being elected in 2016.
He takes up the role immediately, while also continuing his work as the party's Seanad Spokesperson on Justice and Equality.

Senator Gallagher takes over the post from Cavan's Diarmuid Wilson who acted as Fianna Fáil whip in the last Seanad.
