Maguire Starts Well in Florida

Leona Maguire shot a three under par 69 on the opening day of the Gainbridge Open at Lake Nona Golf and Country club in Florida.

Maguire is in joint 11^th place and finds herself four shots off leader Lydia Ko of New Zealand who carded a seven under par 65.

Maguire started on the back nine and shot birdies at 11 and 18 having bogeyed 14 and 17. On the front nine Maguire shot impressive birdies on one, four and eight for a final round 69.

Maguire tee’s off her second round at 1:30pm Irish time and will be playing with Chella Choi of South Korea.
