A local priest in Ballybay in County Monaghan says the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in the local church, was not moved by 'miraculous intervention'.
The local parish was left stumped by the statue which moved from the back of St Patrick's Church to the centre of the altar.
The statue - which is of a considerable size - was moved between Wednesday afternoon and night according to the local sacristan. Local Parish Priest Father La Flynn gave the details of the unusual occurrence.
