275 homeless people recorded locally

The most recent homeless figures have revealed that there are 275 homeless people in the North-East region. There are now 32 families, including 77 children, and 149 single adults without a home across counties Cavan, Monaghan and Louth. Catherine Kenny, CEO of Dublin and Dundalk Simon has described the latest figures locally as shocking.

The latest figures show that there was a slight expected seasonal decrease of 1.5% nationally over the Christmas period. Ms Kenny says we have now returned to what is shockingly considered to be 'normal' in our society today.
