Permission has been granted for the construction of a 30-metre high telecommunications mast in Castleblayney.
Vantage Tower will construct the monopole structure at a greenfield site in Tullyvin, around 350 metres west of the N2 Tullyvin Roundabout.
The Planner's Report said there is a Vodafone deficiency in basic 3G and 4G coverage in the area.

It also highlighted how the location of a mast will improve coverage in the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, it is understood that three other local sites were discounted during the decision-making process.
