A 79-year-old Cavan man who celebrated his birthday with a cycling challenge on a 1960s bike has raised over €3,200 in aid of Virginia Cancer Fund.
Last month, Greg O'Reilly cycled 20 km on the 1960s bike, completing three laps between Fartagh and Mullagh.
Greg has lost several close family members to cancer and he has also battled prostate cancer himself.

Cavan Councillor Shane P O'Reilly hailed Greg as "one in a million" for "conquering such a task", and Greg's daughter, Orla Curran, thanked JTS Hardware Mullagh, Virginia Credit Union, and Lemon Café for their support.
