87 Cavan clubs and groups receives community funding

The grants allocated in the Breffni county will range from €300 to €8,500.

Almost €270,000 in funding has been allocated to 87 local groups and organisations across the County of Cavan under the Community Support Fund 2022.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, announced the successful projects this morning and the clubs and projects to benefit include community halls, men's and women's sheds, sports clubs and local charities.

The grants allocated in the Breffni county will range from €300 to €8,500 with the Cuan Cancer Care Group in Cavan getting the highest allocation in the county.

Announcing the successful projects for Co Cavan, Minister Humphreys said: “Through ‘Our Rural Future’, I want to support locally led, ground-up projects in local communities across the country. This funding is all about giving a helping hand to our local groups and clubs with their energy costs, whether it’s the electricity bill, insurance costs or other overheads.
