95 per cent of computer systems in Cavan and Monaghan hospitals cleared for use after cyber-attack

Staff are now working to retrospectively input patient data that had been manually recorded over the past few weeks.

95 per cent of the computer systems in Cavan and Monaghan hospitals have been cleared for use after the HSE cyber-attack.

Radiology and lab systems in the region are now back online, having been paused and the worst affected locally for a period of time.

David Lynch, the General Manager of Cavan and Monaghan Hospital says staff are now working to retrospectively input patient data that had been recorded over the past few weeks.

He says issues remain, but the situation has greatly improved.
