After years of underfunding the Bailieborough Development Association are grateful for today's funding.
Minister for Community and Rural Development Heather Humphreys announced funding of 100,000 for 5 towns across the Shannonside Northern Sound region as part of the Town Centre First Plans.
Lee McDonnell the Manager of the association says significant infrastructure is needed in the town, as well as development to promote tourism.

She says they have made a start and this money will facilitate further growth in Bailieborough:
