An Garda Siochana in partnership with Monaghan County Council and the HSE is organising Age Friendly events that will take place in both Cavan and Monaghan over the coming days.
The events will focus on improving the wellbeing of older people across the region's communities. Gatherings will take place on the 23rd and 25th of May by invite only.
Speakers have been invited to attend from a range of backgrounds including suicide awareness; healthy living; crime prevention; road safety; Embrace; and Sports Partnership. Local service providers will also be attendance to speak with older people on a one to one basis to signpost them to their services.
