All but one LEA in Cavan-Monaghan has Covid rate below national average

In the two weeks up to Monday, the country had an incidence rate of 924 cases per 100,000 population.

All but one Local Electoral Area in Cavan and Monaghan have Covid-19 incidence rates below the national average.

The highest, Bailieborough-Cootehill, is almost double that of the lowest, Ballybay-Clones.

Locally, Bailieborough-Cootehill was just above that at 958.

Carrickmacross-Castleblayney is next at 849, followed by Cavan-Belturbet at 824.

The Ballyjamesduff LEA has the lowest incidence rate in Cavan 689.

The north Monaghan LEA has a rate of 581, while Ballybay-Clones is the lowest locally at 486.
