Appeal issued over fatal collision on the N2

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash close to the Monaghan border in County Louth yesterday evening.

A man in his 80s died after the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a truck on the N2 at Edmondstown near Ardee shortly before 6pm.

Gardaí are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
