An area was sealed off yesterday evening for several hours in Castleblayney following the discovery of a suspect device.
Gardai say they received a report of the discovery of a suspect device in Castleblayney at around 5pm yesterday evening.
The services of the army EOD Unit was requested and a cordon was then established.

Northern Sound FM understands a numbers of areas were closed off along Muckno Street in the town.
It’s understood the cordon was lifted late last night.
The device was found to be non-viable and removed from the scene for further technical and ballistics examination.
