The Ballyajmesduff Municipal Distract has been told that it may be difficult to get funding for footpaths accommodating walkers to Flemings Folly.

Councillor Winston Bennett asked for an update at last month's meeting on pathways from Ballinagh to Cashel Cross & from Crossdoney to Kinsallagh.

However, the executive stated that because the walkway was along the N55, which is a National Secondary Road, TII won't invest in an area that has a speed limit of 100km/h.

Councilors were advised that they could look towards the NTA for funding in order to create a safe walkway for pedestrians accessing the area.
