Six Champions from across the country emerged at the Energia Get Ireland Growing GIY initiative 2022.
The Ulster Community Hero is Joy Borchert of the Ballybay Irish Countrywomen's Association.
Joy recently retired as a Public Health nurse, having spent all her working life looking after those who needed her help.

She has been an active member of her local ICA group in Ballybay for the last number of years and is always willing to lend a helping hand with local activities.
Founder of GIY Michael Kelly said more and more people are now growing their own food at home.
He added it was something that GIY was delighted to support.
