Ballyjamesduff 'ahead of the curve' for LED lighting

Ballyjamesduff is ahead of the curve when it comes to LED lighting in Cavan. That's according to the engineer who was responding to a question raised by Cllr Trevor Smith at the recent Ballyjamesduff Municipal District meeting. Over 70% of all public lighting is the town is LED compared to 50% in other parts of the county.

All the county is making the shift to LED to be more carbon efficient and they are less expensive in the long term. Almost all estates in the town have been completed with LED lighting and next with be the main streets in the town to bring it to 100%.
