Youth work services are calling for additional funding of more than €27 million euro in the next budget.
The National Youth Council says the money is needed to continue providing safe spaces like youth clubs in communities across the country.
Its pre-budget submission says more than three quarters of respondents to a survey of youth work services, are concerned about having enough funding to keep operating over the next 12 months.
