Body of a man discovered on Clare coastline

A search has been ongoing for the young man since he was last seen.

A body has been discovered off the coast of Ballyvaughan in County Clare.

The Marine Rescue Co-Ordination Centre on Valentia Island in Kerry alerted Doolin Coast Guard yesterday morning - following reports of a body on the shoreline near Gleninagh Castle.

The body was located and removed to University Hospital Limerick, where a postmortem examination and formal identification will be carried out later.

While a formal identification of the body has yet to take place, a major search had been ongoing for University of Galway student Conor Harrington from Carrickmacross who was reported missing on October 15th.
