BREAKING: Emergency services at the scene of Annyalla car fire

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a car fire on the N2 close to the Annyalla junction in Co Monaghan. According to Gardaí, a car broke down and subsequently went on fire.

While emergency services are currently at the scene, motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible as long traffic delays are expected. Diversions are currently in place, however those travelling south bound are asked to turn off at Clontibret and take the old N2 road.
