A local Councillor is appealing with the NTA to allow for a bus stop along the purposed local link route from Cootehill to Virginia.
Cllr Paddy McDonald is calling on the NTA and the local link service to allow a stop in at the leisure Centre for locals to access towns like Cootehill, Bailieboro, Shercock and Virginia. He says he has received a number of calls in relation to this and he is hoping common sense can prevail.
The Co Cavan councillor highlighted that the local link service has been great for people in rural areas and allowing for access for so many people in communities. Cllr McDonald is hopeful that this bus stop can be introduced adding that it would be of huge benefit to people in east Cavan region.
