The Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross is set to go on sale this week.
The landmark hotel and leisure centre closed in early 2023 after it was reported the owner had run into financial difficulty. It's understood locally, there is strong interest in the Nuremore Hotel and Country Club.
Deputy Matt Carthy says this hotel has been closed for far too long and in turn has had a major impact on the local economy. Deputy Carthy wants to see the former 4 star hotel back up and running and become once again the renowned hotel it once was. The local TD says the region has taken an economic hit since the closure of the Nuremore Hotel.
