A local young woman is to feature on Virgin Media Television tonight.
Emily McPhillips Sheridan is one of the cast of The Assembly Ireland, an inclusive and compelling new television format that will change the way we see interviews on Irish screens
The series premieres tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One, continuing weekly for four episodes.
The Assembly Ireland is a fearless new format where well-known Irish personalities are interviewed by a group of autistic and neurodivergent reporters, known as ‘The Assembly’. The group has prepared for these interviews over time and are primed and ready to ask everything they – and you – want asked and answered.
Across the series, Micheál Martin, Joanne McNally, Rosie O’Donnell and Ryan Tubridy will all feature in the programme.
This groundbreaking series showcases neurodiversity and inclusion in a way never seen before on Irish television, broadening perspectives and creating national conversations around difference, understanding, and inclusion.
Emily McPhillips Sheridan from Co Cavan is one of the stars of the programme and she says it was a great experience. Speaking to Northern Sound she outlined what the whole experience meant to her.
