Cavan businesses are being encouraged to avail of Age Friendly Business Training to make it easier for vulnerable and elderly people to return to town centres.
Deirdre Donnelly is the Cavan Age Friendly Programme Manager and says the training will be shaped by consultation between businesses and their older customers.
She added that mystery shoppers will be used to ensure the Age Friendly measures are being implemented.

Deirdre says the training is applicable to every business and will help their bottom line as well as aiding elderly customers.
The Age Friendly Business Training will take place online on Tuesday, July 13, and Deirdre says elderly people are more likely to give their custom to age friendly shops:
