The Cavan Centre has been named the Youth Award winner at the 2025 National Lottery Good Causes Awards.
The award recognises the centre’s outstanding work in supporting and empowering young people.
The Cavan Centre, based in Ballyjamesduff, provides vital services for young people, including educational support, mentoring, wellbeing programmes, and community engagement initiatives from disadvantaged areas of north inner-city Dublin.
It focuses on fostering confidence, resilience, and life skills, giving young people the tools to thrive in their communities.
The Good Causes awards celebrate inspiring organisations and individuals across Ireland who benefit from Good Causes part-funding. The Cavan Centre received €10,000 as the Youth category winner.
The chair of the 2025 judging panel, broadcaster Daithí O'Sé said: “The Cavan Centre exemplifies what it means to put young people at the heart of a community. Through their programmes, they empower young people to take control of their futures, build resilience, and thrive socially and emotionally.
"It’s inspiring to see the positive impact they have on young people from disadvantages areas of Dublin,” he added.
