Cllr Paddy McDonald is calling on the housing minister to increase the limits to help tackle housing issues in the county.

A Cavan Sinn Fein Councillor says the review of income levels for social housing needs to be changed.

Cllr Paddy McDonald brought a motion to the monthly Cavan County Council meeting yesterday calling on changes to be made to the current threshold for social housing.

According to the Sinn Fein local representative, currently the maximum earnings yearly for a single person is 25,000, for a couple ii is 26,250 euros and three adults living in the one house is 30,000 euros.
