Gardaí are continuing to appeal for anyone with information in relation to a fatal hit and run incident to come forward.
Local gardai are centering their appeal around any person who is aware of a vehicle with unexplained damage in the wider Cavan area.
The appeal follows the discovery of a man's body by a road-user on the N3 near Billis Bridge just after midday yesterday.
Northern Sound FM news understands the man is believed to be a local man in his 50s.
Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who were on the N3 near Ballyjamesduff between 10pm on Thursday midday yesterday and who observed any unusual activity in the area.
Any drivers who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area between these hours is asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
