Cavan Gardai have launched an investigation surrounding an alleged suspicious approach by a man towards a child that’s understood to be 8 years of age.
The incident occurred yesterday evening in Cavan Town.

Northern Sound FM understands local Gardai have being combing CCTV from the area and have been making door to door enquiries since the investigation was launched.
It’s believed the man allegedly tried to convince the child to get into a vehicle.

In a statement to Northern Sound from a Garda spokesperson this evening, they say Gardai received report of an incident in Cavan Town on Friday and enquiries are ongoing.
