Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle collision yesterday evening.

Nationally, just under 107,000 adverse incidents happened in hospitals across the country last year, an increase from the 2021 figure of 95,696.

People are being asked to attend GPs and pharmacies where possible.

The incident occurred on the R191 at Relagh Beg, Co. Cavan

According to Gardaí, an investigation in relation to the incident is ongoing at this time.

The consultant was suspended from his job in August 2022.
