'People are tuning in now from all over the world'

Cavan Heritage podcast series 'Where We Belong' was a big hit when it first aired back in 2021, attracting listenership from all over the world, even reaching number 9 in the Austrian History podcast charts.

And now, its back for a second season with a whole host of exciting new episodes for listeners to dive into. Commissioned by Cavan Heritage Office and directed by Alan Bradley, the series takes in a wide range of topics including a fascinating conversation with award-winning actress Derbhle Crotty in the Town Hall Cavan.

It also features an intimate chat with Hughie and Bridie from Crosserlough on their childhood memories of the infamous 'Big Snow of '47' and insights into Cavan's Wetlands with
ornithologist Heather Bothwell. Heritage Officer, Annemarie Ward says episodes are focused on nature, history, culture and the arts and as a result there is something for everyone to enjoy.

"The podcast is now streaming for free on all the stream services including Apple and Spotify. They can download those apps and then download the podcast series. People are tuning in now from all over the world; it's doing well and well worth a listen," she added.
