Greg says he's delighted to be raising money on behalf of a school that does "trojan work".

A Cavan man is celebrating his 80th birthday with a nearly 20 kilometre cycle on a vintage 1960s bike in aid of a local special educational needs school.

Greg O'Reilly undertook a similar cycle in aid of Virginia Cancer Fund last year.

This time round, it's in aid of Holy Family Special School Cootehill, where Greg's grandson is a pupil.

He's welcoming everyone to join him on the cycle tomorrow, especially if you have a vintage bicycle.

Greg will travel from his home in Fartagh, Lisduff, Virginia to The Bailie Hotel, in Bailieborough.

He says he's delighted to raise funds for a school that does "trojan work":
