Electric charging provider EasyGo has announced that it will begin a roll out of 200 50kW fast car chargers across the country.
Cavan and Monaghan along five other counties have been earmarked for the first 70 locations across these counties.
The other 130 sites for other counties have been identified but they are not at the stage that the charging points are at in Cavan and Monaghan.

One in seven new cars sold during 2022 are fully electric and that number is set to rise in the coming years.
Chris Kelly, founder and technical director of EasyGo said in rural areas where public transport is far less available, it is even more important that people can go electric with confidence.
