Local gardaí have appealed for motorists to slow down after a vehicle in Cavan was clocked at nearly twice the legal speed limit.
Over the weekend, Cavan Roads Policing were conducting speed checks across the county.
They detected a motorist driving at 183 kilometres per hour, almost twice the legal speed limit.

The driver was stopped, arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
A Court appearance will follow and gardaí are asking road-users to heed the advice to slow down.
