Cavan nursing home granted permission to construct four new bedrooms

Castlemanor Nursing Home in Drumalee has been granted planning permission to construct four new bedrooms at the facility.

The nursing home, located on the outskirts of Cavan town, is a 71 bed facility with a dedicated 13 bed Dementia unit.

The development will see alterations to the north side of the existing nursing home, which will allow for additional accommodation on the site to provide four fully accessible bedrooms and toilets.

The planners report says the additional accommodation is "an important aspect of creating equal, sustainable, and healthy communities”.
