Damage was caused to fresh line marking as a result of "car donuts".

Recent damage to the carpark of a Co Cavan church has been described as "unacceptable here or at any other place of worship".

Damage was caused to fresh line markings in the car park at St Patrick's Church in Maudabawn.

In a Facebook post, Drumgoon Hill Old Graveyard said CCTV footage is being examined.

It added that the parking facilities have been provided by the generosity of the parishioners and should be respected.

Cootehill Chamber also expressed disappointment online, saying it is "just plain vandalism" to "deface a newly lined church carpark" by performing car donuts.
