Charity bike run for suicide and mental health visits Monaghan

The Cork native will cover 32 counties in 32 days in support of mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

A man who lost his son to suicide visited Monaghan today as part of a charity event for suicide and mental health.

Bunny O'Riordan's son Cian passed away in 2009 and it inspired him to create a hub for those left behind.

Bunny, who is from Midleton in Co Cork is currently riding Cian's motorbike across Ireland and will cover 32 counties in a total of 32 days.

Bunny hopes to raise €100,000 for the internal construction of a new centre in Midleton and inspire others to create similar supports in their own communities.

Speaking on today's Wider View, Bunny said it was "wonderful" to be welcomed in Monaghan and described the charity initiative as one of the best things he has ever experienced:
